Fantasy Fountain-Kid's Kingdom

One of Redding's unique and iconic places, especially if you're a child enjoying our long, hot summers, is Fantasy Fountain in Enterprise Park next to Kid's Kingdom. The spray features, water cannons and rumble of pending volcanic eruption have generated thousands of exciting squeals, laughter and good memories over the course of 10 years. Now, after faithfully serving our younger populace, Fantasy Fountain requires our help with a "re-creation" or extreme makeover to be safe for our children and operable in the coming years.
Built over ten years ago, through the creativity and tenacity of community volunteers, Fantasy Fountain is a Redding landmark and tradition for many children and families. Join us in 2012 as we help "re-create" Fantasy Fountain for our community and be a part of this tradition that brings happiness to so many. Commemorative Fantasy Fountain beach towels are now available for sale with the new logo at the Redding Recreation Office. Later this Spring, we'll host a paint by number event at the park where families will have the opportunity to paint the concrete floor canvas by purchasing your own area--sizes and prices will vary. Every donation brings us that much closer to meeting out $200,000 budget.
From the corporate side of our community The Redding Record Searchlight has come on board to partner in this project and committed $40,000 toward the $200,000 budget in addition to ad space and incentives for other donors! The California Endowment, the Rotary Club of East Redding, REU, and the City of Redding have also pledged support--but we still need more help to meet out goal in time.
