The City Sports League
"The City" High School Sports Leagues
Get involved in "The City" High School league, for 9th-12th graders. Sign up as a team or register as a "Free Agent" and get placed on a team. All participants must sign up at Redding Recreation and either request to be on a specific team or request to be a Free Agent. Leagues will run eight weeks with games being played one day a week. Teams organize their own uniforms, pick their own coaches, and select their own team captain. All leagues are co-ed with no minimum or maximum gender requirements. A high level of sportsmanship, and fair play will be enforced. All participants in attendance must receive playing time. Practice times and locations are scheduled by team captain. League Championship Team will receive official sport apparel (that can be worn in future leagues).

DODGEBALL-- "The Slaughter"
If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball! So run, duck, dive, block or catch it to stay alive. The underdog story of dodgeball has arrived. "The Slaughter" is for all High Schoolers. Teams must wear matching uniforms. Team minimum is 7, max is 10.
Winners prizes include apparel & a radio spot. Prizes also for most outrageous uniform (keep it classy Redding).
Per person entry fee is, $6 at the door or $4 through "The City" Sports League Facebook page.
SOFTBALL
Warm up the arm, grab the glove, bring the bat & enjoy spring ball! Teams must have a minimum of 12 players & maximum of 15. League will be governed by ASA rules.
League games: Sundays, 4/1-5/20
Location: Softball Park
Fee: $50 per player
"THE CITY" SUMMER GAMES
Need a place to hang out with friends? Love sports? Up for some adventure? How about barbecues & late night movies? If the answer is YES, we at Redding Recreation will make it possible!
"The City" Sports Leagues is hosting an array of sport & adventure games. There will be prizes for individuals & teams. The Teen Center, in Caldwell Park, will serve as the hub for activities. We will meet each week on Wednesday evening plus one Friday evening a month. Highschoolers & Homeschoolers can sign up for one evening or a summer long membership.
